Grant fell in love with the water when he was 4 years old, and after 15 plus years of competitive swimming he now teaches kids to love the water like he does. Grant enjoys helping kids overcome their fear of the water, while teaching them the importance of knowing the proper techniques of each stroke. He has been teaching ages 6 months to late adulthood for the past 8 years, while happily making a career out of his passion.
Raised in the small town of Valdese, NC, Grant lifeguarded at a local swimming pool for 4 years until he attended Lenoir-Ryhne University to continue his swimming career where he was awarded Scholar All-American. After a year of college swimming, Grant transferred to UNC Wilmington to enjoy life at the beach where he continued to share his love of swimming with others. After a brief year at the beach he made his last transfer to UNC Charlotte where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics while working at local swim schools.
